When looking for a heavy duty truck that will get the job done with ease, the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LTZ provides a stable performance for all your hauling and towing needs.

Engine and Transmission
The Silverado comes standard with a Vortec 6.0 liter V8 and a six-speed heavy-duty automatic transmission. Alternatively, there is a Duramax 6.6 liter turbo-diesel V8 engine available.

Towing and Stability
With the standard Vortec engine, the Silverado has a towing capacity or 14,400 pounds. Towing capacity increases by 1,000 pounds to 15,400 pounds if you choose to opt for the Duramax turbo-diesel engine. The available tow/haul mode adjusts the transmission shifting capabilities to reduce shifting when towing or hauling a heavy load or driving on a steep grade. The standard Stabilitrak system includes a trailer sway control feature that applies both the truck and the trailer brakes when a swaying trailer is detected. This feature helps to keep the trailer in line. Hill Start Assist works to give you added time to change from braking to accelerating without rolling backward in certain conditions.

Braking
When hauling or towing a load, you want to feel confident that you can stop when necessary. The Silverado 2500HD provides that confidence with four-wheel disc brakes with duralife rotors to provide for extended rotor life. There is integrated trailer brake control that seamlessly works with trailer brakes to stop both the truck and trailer with minimal sway. Auto grade braking initiates transmission downshifts to help with braking on a long downhill grade.
